Men's supplements in Malaysia priced per day, from RM0.45 to RM9.90

What Men's Supplements Really Cost per Day in Malaysia (2026): Price Guide and Calculator

MEN'S HEALTH · PRICE GUIDE · MALAYSIA 2026

Supplement prices are quoted per box, and boxes are not the same size. A RM43 pack that lasts 15 days costs more per day than a RM73 pack that lasts 100. This guide prices 18 products sold in Malaysian pharmacies (20 prices, since our own product comes in three pack sizes) the only way that is fair — per day at the label dose — and gives you a calculator for anything we missed.

The short answer

In Malaysia in October 2026, men's supplements fall into three price tiers per day:

  • Basics (vitamin D, zinc, a multivitamin, fish oil, magnesium): RM0.45–1.90 a day: see the price table
  • Herbal vitality capsules and tablets (tongkat ali, ashwagandha, saw palmetto, CoQ10): RM1.50–7 a day: see the price table
  • Ready-to-drink herbal sachets and sticks (Korean red ginseng, MFormula): RM6–10 a day: see the price table
Disclosure: MFormula is our product and it appears in the top price tier. We show its price per day next to everyone else's because that is the point of this page. All prices were read from the retailer and brand pages linked in the Sources on 13 October 2026; none of the other brands paid to be here.

Why per day

Per box lies. Per day does not.

Three things hide inside a box price:

  • Pack size. Malaysian packs run from 10 sachets to 180. The pack price tells you nothing until you know how long it lasts.
  • Label dose. Many labels say '1–2 a day'. Take two and the daily cost doubles. VitaHealth Tongkat Ali Plus runs from RM3.46 to RM6.93 a day depending on which end of its label you follow.
  • Bundle pricing. Brands that sell direct discount multi-box bundles. MFormula is RM8.97 a sachet in a single box and about RM6 a sachet in the multi-box bundles (RM5.97–6.11 when we checked) — a third less for the same product.

Price per day = pack price × units per day ÷ units in the pack. That is all the calculator above does.

The tiers

What you get in each price tier

Tier 1 — Basics, RM0.45 to RM1.90 a day

Vitamin D3, zinc, a multivitamin, fish oil and magnesium all sit here. These are single nutrients made in large volumes by big brands, which is why they are cheap. If you are deficient in one of them, this is the best money you will spend; if you are not, you are paying for expensive urine. A full set of four basics (multivitamin, vitamin D, fish oil, zinc) costs about RM4.20 a day at the prices above.

Tier 2 — Herbal capsules and tablets, RM1.50 to RM7 a day

Tongkat ali, ashwagandha, saw palmetto, CoQ10 and multi-herb tablets. Prices rise with the amount of extract: Duoleaf gives 400 mg of tongkat ali a day for RM2.87, Nu-Prep gives 200 mg of a trial-tested extract for RM3.17. Watch the dose range — VitaHealth Tongkat Ali Plus is affordable at two capsules and the priciest capsule here at four.

Tier 3 — Ready-to-drink herbs, RM6 to RM10 a day

Korean red ginseng sticks and MFormula. You pay for two things: the format (liquid, dosed, nothing to swallow or mix) and, in MFormula's case, four herbs plus L-arginine and zinc in one sachet rather than one herb. Whether that is worth RM6–10 a day (at one sachet or stick; double it for two) depends on one question: have you managed to keep taking capsules for two months before? If you have, Tier 2 is better value. If you have not, the format is the point.

Worked example

Four herbs separately vs one sachet

A common question we get: is MFormula expensive? Against a single tongkat ali capsule, yes. Against buying its four herbs separately, no. At the prices above:

Buying each herb separately Price per day
Nu-Prep 100 — tongkat ali, 200 mg Physta a day RM3.17
Jung Kwan Jang Everytime V — Korean red ginseng, 1 stick RM6.90
Himalaya Ashvagandha — 2 capsules RM1.49
Naturie organic maca powder — 200 g at RM35.90 (AA Pharmacy), assuming a 5 g teaspoon RM0.90
Total RM12.46
MFormula — 1 sachet with all four, plus L-arginine and zinc about RM6 (multi-box bundle) to RM8.97 (single box)

Be fair to the comparison: the amounts are not the same. MFormula's label works out to about 150 mg of tongkat ali extract and 60 mg of red ginseng per sachet, against 200 mg in Nu-Prep and roughly 990 mg of ginseng extract in an Everytime V stick. This is a cost-of-format comparison, not a dose-for-dose one. What it shows is that one sachet a day is the cheaper way to take all four herbs daily, and the only way that does not involve four packs on the kitchen counter.

Hidden costs

Five ways the real cost is higher than the shelf price

  1. The dose range. If the label says 1–2 and you need 2, double the number before you buy.
  2. Small packs. A 10- or 15-day pack is convenient for a trial and expensive as a habit. Duoleaf's 30 capsules last 15 days; Watsons' 10-sachet MFormula pack lasts 5–10.
  3. Doubling up. A multivitamin with zinc plus a separate zinc tablet is money and, past the safe upper level, risk. Read the back of both.
  4. Shipping and marketplace fees. Add them to the pack price. MFormula ships free within Malaysia from mformulamy.com; marketplace listings may not.
  5. Fakes. The most expensive supplement is one that contains nothing — or contains a hidden drug. Unusually cheap marketplace listings are the biggest cost risk in this category. Buy from pharmacies and official stores.

Spend less

How to pay less without buying junk

  • Pick one goal first. Energy, sleep, prostate, joints — one goal, one product, eight weeks. Stacking five products from day one costs RM10–15 a day and tells you nothing about what worked.
  • Buy one pack, then buy the bundle. Multi-box bundles are the cheapest per day only if you finish them. MFormula's bundles are about a third cheaper per sachet than one box — buy one after your first box, not before.
  • Compare chains, and compare the exact product. On the day we checked, Blackmores' current Bio Zinc Plus Advanced was RM24.90 for 30 at BIG while the previous Bio Zinc Plus was RM20.90 at Alpro — two products, two registration numbers, easy to confuse. Pharmacy apps show prices; use them.
  • Ignore the discount percentage. 'RM288 → RM193' and 'RM162.80 → RM103.90' are both real examples from the pages we checked, and both are only meaningful as a per-day number.
  • Use the guarantee. If a brand offers a satisfaction guarantee, read the terms before you buy and keep the box. MFormula's is 60 days.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much do men's supplements cost per day in Malaysia?

At October 2026 pharmacy prices: basics such as vitamin D, zinc, a multivitamin and fish oil cost RM0.45–1.90 a day; herbal capsules such as tongkat ali, ashwagandha and saw palmetto cost RM1.50–7 a day; ready-to-drink herbal sachets and sticks cost RM6–10 a day.

How much does MFormula cost?

RM269 for a box of 30 sachets on mformulamy.com, which is RM8.97 a sachet. The 2-, 4- and 6-box bundles bring it down to about RM6 a sachet (RM5.97–6.11 when we checked). Watsons sells a 10-sachet pack for RM99 (RM9.90 a sachet). At one sachet a day that is about RM6–9.90 a day; at two, double it. Shipping within Malaysia from our site is free.

Is MFormula expensive?

Per day, it is in the top tier with Korean red ginseng sticks: RM6–9 a day against RM2–7 for a tongkat ali capsule. Against buying tongkat ali, red ginseng, ashwagandha and maca as four separate products (about RM12.46 a day at current prices), it is cheaper — though the herb amounts are not identical. If you can take capsules consistently, a capsule is better value; if you cannot, the sachet is the cheaper way to take all four herbs daily.

How much does tongkat ali cost in Malaysia?

From about RM2.87 a day (Duoleaf, 400 mg extract) to RM6.93 a day (VitaHealth Tongkat Ali Plus at four capsules). Nu-Prep 100, the trial-tested Physta extract, is about RM3.17 a day at 200 mg. Tongkat ali coffee is about RM1.13 a sachet but does not publish a dose.

Where is MFormula cheapest?

Per sachet: the multi-box bundles on mformulamy.com (about RM6), then a single box on mformulamy.com (RM8.97), then the 10-sachet pack at Watsons (RM9.90). The Watsons pack is the cheapest way to try it; the website is the cheapest way to keep taking it. Only buy from our website, Watsons, authorised pharmacies and our official Shopee and Lazada stores.

Are expensive supplements better?

Not automatically. Price mostly tracks extract amount, brand, format and bundle size. A cheap vitamin D capsule from a big brand is exactly as good as an expensive one. For herbs, a higher price should buy you a published extract amount, a registration or factory certificate and a halal certificate — if it does not, you are paying for packaging.

Is a multivitamin cheaper than separate vitamins?

Yes, by a wide margin. Blackmores Multivitamin + Mineral is RM1.11 a day for a dozen nutrients; buying vitamin D, zinc and the B vitamins separately would cost more and risk doubling up. Buy single nutrients only for the ones you need in a higher amount, such as vitamin D or omega-3.

Can I claim supplements under Malaysian income tax relief?

Tax rules change and depend on the item, so we do not give tax advice here. Check the current LHDN relief list or ask a tax agent, and keep your receipts.

Why do prices differ between pharmacies?

Chains set their own margins, run their own promotions and sometimes stock different pack sizes or formula versions of the same brand. On the day we checked, two versions of a Blackmores zinc product — different formulas, different registration numbers — were on sale at different prices at different chains. Always compare the exact pack and the exact formula.
